Wires and electronics added

Basically few things are mounted on the robot body because the next development phase requires much more degree of freedom. As you can see I mounted the LiPo, the BEC and added labels to identify wires. These positions and orientations are temporary but follow basic rules: keep the robot balanced, protect the LiPo from any non expected damage (side kicks, etc.) and make it very simple and light. I forgot to add “and quick”… Be prepared if you decide to label wires because this part was so boring that I needed a beer (alcohol-free of course) to complete.

LiPo is mounted using rubber band (originally came with the servos). This is placed in the middle and lying on sponge layers to avoid direct connection to rigid surfaces.

LiPo mounted

BEC (voltage regulator) is mounted using simple tape. When I translated this word from hungarian “szigetelő szalag” I got “petticoat”! Guys, is this correct? 🙂 In this case the BEC placed upside down to have direct connection to the robot aluminium body. This can be some sort of extended heatsink.

2 BEC mountedResult of 2 hours work. Viewing the photo it seems to be nothing…

3 labels mountedBeing in supernatural happiness state I decided to label signal wires and mount Arduino later…
